Home Schooling

I can assist with your child’s home schooling journey by providing tailored in-person tutoring within the comfort and familiarity of your own home.

I offer one-to-one or group sessions for children of all ages from primary to secondary (key stages 2 to 5)

I am a fully-qualified and DBS-checked teacher with many years of teaching experience across all key stages and can bring this experience to your home.

I can help with particular developmental skills, focus on key subjects or work with your child towards specific qualifications.

In-Person Tutoring

I can support your child’s in-school education by providing accompanying tutoring to help them grasp and affirm the topics they are learning at school. I can help them bridge knowledge gaps

I can prepare them for key assessments through intensive pre-exam boot camps or provide structured, regular tutoring throughout the year to keep their attainment high.

Online Tutoring

I can provide all of my tailored home teaching and tutoring services in a relaxed online environment, allowing your child to enhance their education from anywhere in the world.

I use collaborative video conferencing technologies to create engaging, fully interactive learning sessions.

In all cases I will create a personalised learning plan, bespoke to your child that is designed to meet your educational requirements

I’m Emily. I am a fully-qualified, DBS-checked teacher with many years experience in secondary and primary education. I have a Science specialism at secondary and post-16 level but am equally comfortable teaching all topics in the primary curriculum.

I am based in Tavistock, Devon and travel to homes within the surrounding area to provide home schooling and private tutoring services.

I offer one-off tutoring sessions as well as tailored development programmes or intensive ‘boot camps’. I specialise in creating a learning solution specific to your child’s needs and goals.

I am passionate about teaching. I believe - and have proven - that any barriers to learning can be overcome. I have much experience in creating welcoming, engaging environments that allow students to reach their full potential.
